Author Guidelines

Author Guidelines for Journal of Education and Teaching

Welcome to the Journal of Education and Teaching. Below are the guidelines for authors submitting their work for publication in our journal. Please follow these guidelines carefully to ensure that your submission is considered.

1. General Submission Information

  • Scope: The journal publishes original research articles, review papers, case studies, and educational analyses related to the field of education and teaching. All submissions should contribute to the academic discussion within the context of teaching methodologies, educational theory, and practices in various educational settings.

  • Language: Manuscripts should be written in English or Indonesian, with proper academic writing standards. If writing in English, authors should ensure that their manuscript is proofread for grammar and style before submission.

  • Originality: The submitted work must be original and not published or under review elsewhere. By submitting a manuscript, authors affirm that the work is their own and has not been plagiarized.

  • Peer Review: All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and credibility of the research.

2. Manuscript Formatting

  • Length: The manuscript should not exceed 5000 words, including references, figures, and tables.

  • Font: Use Times New Roman, size 12, with 1.5-line spacing. Margins should be set at 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.

  • Title Page: The title page should include:

    • The title of the article (bold and centered).

    • Author(s) name(s) with academic titles, affiliations, and contact information (email address).

    • A concise abstract (150-250 words) summarizing the article’s purpose, methods, results, and conclusions.

    • Keywords: List 4-6 keywords that describe the subject of the manuscript.

  • Main Text:

    • Introduction: Provide the background of the study, its purpose, and significance.

    • Literature Review: Discuss relevant previous research and the theoretical framework for the study.

    • Methodology: Provide detailed information on research design, participants, data collection methods, and analysis.

    • Results: Present the findings clearly with the use of tables and figures where appropriate.

    • Discussion: Interpret the findings in the context of the research questions and existing literature.

    • Conclusion: Summarize the study’s contributions to the field and suggest areas for future research.

  • References: References should follow the APA 7th Edition citation style, both in-text and in the reference list. Ensure that all references are relevant and up-to-date.


3. Figures, Tables, and Charts

  • Figures and Tables: Include all figures and tables within the manuscript, numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 2). Each should have a clear title or description placed above (for tables) or below (for figures).

  • Quality: Figures should be of high quality, clear, and legible. Ensure they are in JPEG, PNG, or TIFF formats with a minimum resolution of 300 DPI.

  • Legends: Provide concise legends for all figures and tables.


4. Ethical Considerations

  • Plagiarism: Manuscripts that are found to be plagiarized will be immediately rejected.

  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must declare any potential conflicts of interest related to the research. This includes financial support, professional relationships, or any other factors that could influence the study’s outcomes.

  • Informed Consent: For studies involving human participants, authors should confirm that informed consent was obtained from participants or their guardians, where applicable. Ethical approval from a relevant institution or ethical review board should be mentioned.


5. Submission Process

  • Online Submission: All manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system.

  • File Format: The manuscript should be submitted as a single Word document (.doc or .docx). Do not submit PDFs or other formats.

  • Cover Letter: Authors are required to submit a cover letter along with the manuscript that briefly explains the significance of their research and why it is suitable for publication in Journal of Education and Teaching.

  • Submission Fee: There is no submission fee, but authors may be required to pay an article processing charge (APC) if their article is accepted for publication.


6. Revision and Resubmission

  • If revisions are requested, authors should submit the revised manuscript within 4 weeks of receiving reviewer feedback.

  • A detailed response letter must be included with the resubmission, explaining how each reviewer’s comments were addressed.


7. Copyright and Licensing

  • Authors retain the copyright for their work but grant Journal of Education and Teaching a non-exclusive license to publish and distribute the article.

  • Authors are required to sign a copyright transfer agreement upon acceptance of the manuscript for publication.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
